Counseling from a high-achieving, compassionate, creative soul

Helping other souls find peace and solace in embracing their perfectionistic superpower

We help high-achieving, perfectionistic women find worthiness, confidence, and self-trust while embracing their perfectionism as a superpower.

That’s right, you read that correctly: your perfectionism is magical.

And as a fellow perfectionist (thanks, Katherine Morgan Schafler, for writing a book that was a huge catalyst in helping me see how magical my perfectionism really is), I want you to know that I’m not going to ask you to completely get rid of your desire for greatness, excellence, and doing things really well. Instead, I want to help you harness it — without the burnout, self-doubt, or shame that usually tags along. I can help you recognize when your perfectionism is working for you and when it’s working against you, so that it doesn’t keep you feeling stuck, drained, or questioning your worth.

Our counseling approach is grounded in a deep respect for your story.

We’ll move at a pace that honors your needs and your nervous system.

Any tools brought in—whether it’s EMDR, IFS, somatic work, or mindfulness—are always in service of that connection, and only introduced when it feels attuned to your needs.

Welcome! I’m Jennifer, the founder of Jennifer Ann Counseling

I’m a trauma-informed therapist, lifelong learner, and fellow perfectionist. At Jennifer Ann Counseling, we help high-achieving, self-aware women transform perfectionism from something that fuels burnout into a force for healing and growth. We support clients navigating imposter syndrome, anxiety, depression, PMDD, and complex or relational trauma, guiding them toward greater self-trust, emotional regulation, and a deeper sense of worth. Our work is person-centered, relational, and rooted in deep connection.

A REMINDER for Our clients:

Feeling worthy isn’t fixed or permanent, it’s fluid.

It’s completely normal to think, “I’m amazing” one day and “I suck” the next. That’s part of being human.

But with the right support, it’s possible to develop a steadier connection to your innate worthiness, and a more resilient sense of self-worth—one that doesn’t crumble when you miss a deadline, receive critical feedback, cancel a plan, or dare to rest. Over time, you can begin to trust that your worth isn’t something you have to earn. It’s something you already carry.
